The Scullery Conversion. Week One

After a lot of hard graft, decisions about what we should keep or bin and many trips to the Tip, Jeff from Moulds Builders has arrived to begin work on the Scullery Conversion. The plasterboard on the ceiling has come down and with it a ton of dirt, the rafters now exposed and the old bread oven removed. John has built himself a cosy looking workshop in the cellar, put tool racks up and installed metal shelving. The freezer is now in the cellar after a valiant amount of lifting from two of Ela's friends whilst John held the freezer door!

  1. Oh dear.....in my ignorance of how this works, it would appear that I have sent you all about four emails inviting you to take a look. Alice alerted me to the fact with a load of hysterical laughter!

  2. Delighted cousine to have received FOUR invitations - changes from Spam! (getting to grips with technology (2 3/4 years from blogging to posting :) Happy beginnings!
What brilliant renovation work - it must have been very satisfying! What is your next project? Pottery?
Lots of love and keep publishing.

    1. Likewise I had four invites and then invite withdrawn but al ticketyboo now. Slight correction to detail - whilst holding freezer lid I was superbly supervising the whole operation while Blinky and Ella were sipping tea in the warm kitchen !

  3. Quite right. Officers supervise. O.R's do the work. It was ever thus. I guess we'll get to see the major refit one day. Qien sabe? All this technology, I'm seriously thinking of becoming a Luddite. Love to all, and good luck with the wall!
